Mi INDAP Agriculture Platform
Instituto de Desarrollo Agropecuario, INDAP for short, is a unit from Chilean government with a mission to help small farmers overcome poverty and develop productivity.
As the UI designer I was asked to design a platform that lets farmers themselves require some of the benefits that INDAP provides.
Project details
I created a design based on the idea of mobile first, thinking this as a responsive online platform, but also thinking that it might become a PWA in the future.
I put the emphasis on making the process very straightforward and using a plain language that any person could understand, avoiding technical terminology.
The hardest part of this project was being a mediator between several stakeholders and an advocate for the user, because the focus tend to be put on the technical parts forgetting about the user.
This platform has been recently launched and there has been several application done using it.
Based on project restrictions I didn’t have the chance to test it with real users, but after launch I’ve had some interviews and I’m currently working on applying some improvements to the platform based on users feedback and government directions.
